Marr’s Field Journal, the University of Alabama’s literary and arts magazine, was created in 1989 as a forum for emerging writers and artists. Marr’s Field Journal strives to enrich its readers by showcasing exceptional undergraduate poetry, prose, art, and music compositions. The insights of the contributing writers and artists have made Marr’s Field Journal an esteemed member of the Office of Student Media and a vital part of the creative community on campus. Marr’s Field Journal is published annually and offers nearly two hundred pages of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in each issue. In addition, a compact disc is included in order to exhibit non-print media. Marr’s Field Journal also takes great pride in facilitating open-mic nights and participating in various service projects throughout the year.
